Our commitment
ePUBLISH INDIA is committed to making scholarly discovery usable by people with diverse abilities, devices, languages, and access needs across India. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing platform responsibility.
Platform experience
- Responsive pages that support desktop and mobile browsing.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and controls wherever practical.
- Clear headings, labels, focus states, and readable colour contrast.
- Text alternatives for meaningful platform imagery when available.
- Support for browser zoom and assistive technologies.
Publisher-supplied content
Some PDFs, EPUB files, images, supplementary files, and historical archives are supplied by independent publishers and may not yet meet the same accessibility standard as the portal interface. We work with publishers to improve accessible formats and metadata over time.
Known limitations
Older scanned documents may have incomplete text recognition, reading order, bookmarks, captions, or image descriptions. Complex tables, equations, and third-party payment interfaces may also present limitations. We prioritise remediation based on impact and usage.
Requesting assistance
If content or a workflow is difficult to use, contact us with the page address, publication or article title, the barrier encountered, your browser or assistive technology where relevant, and the format or assistance you need.
Continuous improvement
We review new interfaces during development, test responsive behaviour, and incorporate accessibility improvements into platform upgrades. Feedback from readers, libraries, researchers, and publishers helps determine priorities.
